- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine the mashed bananas with the butter mixture and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the banana mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
