  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the red food coloring and white chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a cream cheese frosting, mix 8 oz of cream cheese with 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and spread on top.
  • These bars can be enjoyed warm or chilled.
