- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
- ⅓ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and spices.
