- 1 pound turkey bacon
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces.
- In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the chopped turkey bacon back to the pot.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.
