Easy Salisbury Steak (with Mushroom Gravy)

A comforting and juicy dish perfect for any weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and sauté until tender.
  4. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  5. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes for a hearty meal.
