- 2 pounds rump steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Season the rump steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and sear the steak on all sides.
- Add chopped onion and garlic to the slow cooker.
- Place the seared steak on top of the onions and garlic.
- In a bowl, mix together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce, then pour over the steak.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the steak is tender.
- Once done, remove the steak, thicken the sauce with cornstarch if desired, then serve.
