This Crockpot Rump Steak recipe is the perfect way to enjoy tender and flavorful beef.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds rump steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Season the rump steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and sear the steak on all sides.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic to the slow cooker.
  4. Place the seared steak on top of the onions and garlic.
  5. In a bowl, mix together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce, then pour over the steak.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the steak is tender.
  7. Once done, remove the steak, thicken the sauce with cornstarch if desired, then serve.

Notes

  • For additional flavor, add your favorite herbs or vegetables.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
