Chocolate Pistachio Tart with Ganache

A rich and decadent chocolate tart topped with creamy ganache and roasted pistachios, perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 3 tablespoons ice water
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted pistachios, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add egg yolk and ice water; mix until dough forms.
  4. Press dough into a tart pan and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, heat cream until just boiling. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate until melted and smooth.
  6. Pour ganache into the cooled tart shell.
  7. Sprinkle chopped pistachios on top and refrigerate until set.
  8. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, add a pinch of sea salt on top of the ganache before chilling.
  • If you prefer a sweeter tart, consider using milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate.
