  • 4 strips turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add chicken, peas, carrots, thyme, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
  6. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring until thickened.
  7. Pour filling into a pie crust and top with the second crust. Seal edges and cut slits for steam.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
