- 3 pounds beef short ribs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and water.
- Place the beef short ribs in a roasting pan and pour the marinade over them.
- Cover the pan with foil and roast in the preheated oven for 3 hours.
- After 3 hours, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Roast for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the ribs.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
