  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, paprika, turmeric, and salt for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Stir in tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the marinated chicken and cook until fully cooked through.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and stir well. Add sugar to balance the acidity.
  7. Simmer for another 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve hot with naan or rice.
