  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups red wine
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the meatballs until browned on all sides.
  5. In a large pot, combine red wine, crushed tomatoes, and basil. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the meatballs to the pot, cover, and let them braise for 45 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite pasta or bread.
